The Relais & Chateaux Hotel Hohenhaus, which was originally built as a manor in the 16th century, now offers comfortable rooms furnished with hand-picked antiques, the finest fabrics and marble bathrooms, with uninterrupted views of the Blutbuchental valley or the Lindenhof.

Original artifacts are also on display throughout the hotel, including works by the Austrian expressionist Oskar Kokoschka and handmade tapestries from the renowned 17th century "Manufacture nationale des Gobelins".

Renovation work has been underway in the castle since 2022, so that we will have a total of 40 rooms and various wellness suites in the future.

A sauna, an indoor pool and an extensive library with a reading area by the open fireplace are available for relaxation. Guests can hike and enjoy nature on 1600 hectares of the hotel's own forest.

"Our" country hotel is located in Holzhausen, a district of Herleshausen, and offers a pool and sauna as well as a tennis court and a gourmet restaurant, which has been awarded a Michelin star. It is 5 minutes away from the A4 highway.
