  12. Ginkaku-ji Temple (慈照寺 (銀閣寺))

    総門をくぐると中門までの約50mに石垣・竹垣・椿の生垣の調和が見事な銀閣寺垣があり、中門から中に入ると波紋を表現した銀沙灘や、富士山型の公月台との美しい庭園が広がっている。参道の途中にはお茶の井があり、足利義政の茶の湯にも用いられた湧き水として現在でもお茶会に使用。展望所からは銀閣寺全景を一望出来る。平成6年 (1994年) 「古都京都の文化財」の一つとして世界遺産（文化遺産）に登録されている。
