by Sanda Ferreira, Content Manager & Hotel Researcher
Small Luxury Hotel Altstadt Vienna is a 19th-century townhouse in Vienna's trendy 'Boboville' district. The hotel has 62 individually decorated rooms and suites, all the result of collaborations with world-renowned artists, architects, and fashion designers. Altstadt Vienna has an extensive contemporary art collection from Warhol to Prachensky.
Today we decided to check out some of the most exciting rooms and suites at Small Luxury Hotel Altstadt Vienna.

Atil Kutoğlu's Room 23 has custom-made furnishings with Ottoman designs and hand-painted Iznik tiles.

Andreas Lackner's Rooms 53 and 56 have a decadent Baroque style and photographs by Josef Fischnaller.

Carsten Fock's Violet Suite 19 has a bold, statement wall piece and vibrant paintings, selected by Saskia Wiesenthal, that explore mystical underwater worlds.

The Bösendorfer Suite is filled with hand-picked objets d'art and one-off pieces, including a century-old tiled stove and artwork from American portrait photographer Annie Leibovitz and Austrian painter Robin Christian Andersen.

The Josef Frank Suite pays homage to Austrian-Swedish architect and designer Josef Frank and Swedish studio founder Estrid Ericson, with iconic floral prints from Frank adorning lamps, cushions, and other soft furnishings.
